![]() His ideals are set as "truth and justice". Superman on the other hand is a flat arc character from the get go. But, then the character would need to be rebuilt from scratch because their wouldn't be a conflict and no values for readers to derive from the stroh. Imagine a peter parker who already knew "with greath power comes great responsibility" from the start and didn't get his uncle killed. A postive arc requires characters to have negative beginning. From what i get from the movie, i believe the characters had arcs. His superman, ma and pa didn't exist before he created and executed his vision. Out of character requires the characters to exist prior. Snyder was on point in what he wanted to do. It's the execution and knowing who this character is at his core.Ok, what does Superman have to learn that is worthwhile for people derive value from? No doubt Smallville the show also had a Clark that evolved over time. Now look at the animated Death of Superman movie most liked it and Clark/Superman wasn't always perfect, he had doubts like a real person, but he learned and grew. The Snyder DC movies were divisive because many felt Clark and/or Pa and Ma Kent acted very out of character in some scenes. But it should be according to who this character is. I don't see why not if he can grow and learn like any other superhero. Of course he should have arcs in movies and shows. ![]()
